By taking the model out of the studio and into the world, as it were, Munkasci is hailed as the true pioneer of the fashion photo, or rather making art of the fashion photograph. Munkasci was soon followed by other revlutionary photographer: a Mr Richard Avedon. Without the former perhaps Avedon may have not created such a dense ouevre, particularly as far as fashion is concerned.
I guess that is the nice thing about delving into the history of photography as it were. The way the paths form. Who influenced who and paved the way for further creative endeavors...
