Hieronymus Bosch
The version that really captured me is after Bosch - the tree man faces the other with way - the image reversed, and the background full of figurines all busy in various activities. Created by an anonymous person , the version I am unable to find a reproduction of is much more meticulous and complex. An aversion to the rule of preferring the original, in this case the original fails to please the eye as much as the unknown version does with all it's intricacies and wonder...
