Whether you look at an older print or one that was made say 50 years ago I cannot help but see the superiority that film has. Digital Prints do not convey the depth, the tone nor the sheer beauty that film creates. We are dealing with chemicals and light - all the fragility and reactions that occur in this medium so ever entwined with the sensitivity that makes it what it is. My grammar and language fail me as often is the case, you just need to see a vintage print in the flesh beside a digital one.....
