Ruth Shaw, 1922

Quite possibly one of my favourites, in the top 20 that is, make that 50, or so.....I guess it is all done to the composition and cropping.

Something about the balance of triangle shapes, the cut of Ruth's hair mirrored against the triangle shape on the wall. Something about the way she is looking down. All so simple, striking and I never tire of looking at it.
