I am quite beside myself, just when you think you have all the photographic predecessors down to a tea along comes another to prove how wrong and naive you are.
A title 'The Museum of Souvenirs' catches my eye, may as well take a look though I have never seen this gallery before. The clean cropping, a touch of the Hans Bellmar ever Surreal, and playful and I am instantly intrigued and amused by his titles as well as visual puns.
Marcel Mariën is currently on show at the new Dietmar/Noble Photography Gallery. I also really think this work, as with most artwork deserves to be seen in the flesh.
